The European Cancer Centers Foundation’s mission is to make the most innovative cancer treatment techniques and practices available to all, by organizing treatment campaigns for the disadvantaged and action to educate and to promote cancer prevention.

The European Cancer Centers Foundation is an independent entity which is financed by private and institutional donors.

The Foundation works together with a spectrum of institutional actors (state-sponsored, associations, civil society) in the context of public-private partnerships to bring development projects to fruition.

The Foundation’s activities are focused on two major public health issues: breast cancer research, prevention and treatment and pediatric oncology.

Foundation Governance :

  • The Board of Directors is composed of our founding members, who are joined by politicians and representatives from civil society. An elected committee meets quarterly.
  • The Scientific Committee is composed of medical experts; its mission is to assure that the Foundation’s initiatives remain effective and relevant. It meets quarterly to select, approve and implement the Foundation’s medical projects.
  • The Foundation is grateful to receive the support of institutions such as ALIAM (Alliance of French-Speaking African and Mediterranean Leagues Against Cancer) which brings together 43 associations from 24 French-speaking countries.
